ABOUT US
American Seasonal Home is a US to UK parcel forwarding and consolidation service. We are not a retailer, reseller, or purchasing agent of any kind. All purchases you make from US retailers are entirely your own transactions made directly between you and the retailer. We simply receive, consolidate, and forward your parcels from our US facility to your UK address.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By registering an account with American Seasonal Home and using our service you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree with any part of these terms please do not use our service.
2. OUR SERVICE
We provide a parcel forwarding service which includes:
Receiving your parcels at our US facility
Inspecting parcels for visible damage on arrival
Consolidating your items into one parcel
Forwarding your consolidated parcel to your UK address via Royal Mail Tracked
We do not purchase goods on your behalf. We do not act as your agent in any retail transaction. All money paid to us represents forwarding service fees only.
3. YOUR ACCOUNT AND US SHIPPING ADDRESS
Upon registration you will be assigned a personal US shipping address including a unique Suite ID. You are responsible for:
Using your full registered name and Suite ID correctly on all retailer orders
Keeping your Suite ID confidential and not sharing it with third parties
Ensuring your account details are kept up to date
Any orders placed using your Suite ID
4. ORDERING FROM US RETAILERS
When you place orders with US retailers using your Suite Address you agree that:
You are solely responsible for ensuring successful delivery to our US facility
You will track your orders and resolve any delivery disputes directly with the retailer
We are not responsible for parcels that do not arrive at our US facility
You will only order items that comply with our prohibited items list
5. PAYMENT
Our forwarding service fees are displayed on our website and must be paid before your items are shipped from our UK address to you. Fees are based on the number of items and their declared value band. Royal Mail postage is added at checkout. All fees are non-refundable once your items have been received at our US facility and shipping has been arranged.
6. PROHIBITED ITEMS
You must not use our service to forward any of the following:
Food or drink items of any kind
Hazardous or flammable materials
Weapons or illegal items
Counterfeit goods
Any item prohibited by Royal Mail or UK customs
Any item restricted or banned from import into the United Kingdom
Sealed health supplements such as gummies and vitamins are permitted. Liquids are permitted provided each item does not exceed 1kg or 1,000ml.
7. SIZE AND WEIGHT LIMITS
Individual items must weigh no more than 1kg and be no taller than 10 inches. Items exceeding these limits must be declared to us before ordering so we can provide a custom shipping quote. Any oversized or overweight items arriving without prior agreement may be subject to additional charges.
8. DAMAGED ITEMS
If your items arrive at our US facility with visible damage we will notify you immediately with photographs. We will arrange the return of damaged items to the US retailer on your behalf once you have supplied us with a returns label from the retailer within 7 working days of notification. This service is included within your forwarding fees at no extra charge.
9. LOST OR DELAYED ITEMS
Items travelling from our US facility to the UK are covered during international transit. If your parcel is lost or significantly delayed during this journey please contact us and we will investigate and resolve the matter on your behalf.
Once dispatched via Royal Mail in the UK your parcel is covered under Royal Mail’s standard compensation scheme. If your parcel is lost or damaged during Royal Mail delivery please contact us within 48 hours of the expected delivery date.
10. CHANGE OF MIND
We do not accept responsibility for change of mind returns. If you wish to return an item to a US retailer simply because you have changed your mind, you must arrange and fund your own return shipping. Our forwarding fees are non-refundable in these circumstances.
11. CUSTOMS AND DUTIES
All applicable customs duties and import fees are included within your forwarding fees for standard sized and weighted items. You are responsible for any additional customs charges that arise from items that fall outside our standard guidelines or that have been inaccurately declared.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, American Seasonal Home’s total liability to you shall not exceed the forwarding fees paid by you in respect of the relevant shipment. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses including loss of product value or any loss arising from your dealings with US retailers.
13. PROHIBITED CONDUCT
You must not use our service for any unlawful purpose. You must not attempt to forward prohibited or restricted items. You must not provide false information when registering or placing orders. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website. Your continued use of our service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
15. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
